Trains to Kilmarnock have been cancelled this afternoon.

ScotRail have tweeted to say that due to a signalling fault, a number of services are subject to delay, revision or cancellation.

The following services have been impacted by the fault:

• Glasgow Central to Kilmarnock;

• Glasgow Central to Newcastle/Carlisle via Dumfries;

• Glasgow Central to Girvan/Stranraer via Kilmarnock.

A ScotRail update reads: "We are dealing with a signalling issue at Kilmarnock.

"Our staff are now on site and are working hard to get services back on schedule.
