Rush-hour disruption to ScotRail services due to railway trespassers near Linlithgow

Railway trespassers are causing significant rush-hour disruption to ScotRail services in Edinburgh and West Lothian.

The rail operator reported at around 4.40pm that they had received reports of youths trespassing on the track between Polmont and Linlithgow, with services passing through these stations disrupted.

They added that British Transport Police officers were responding to the incident, while trains are operating at reduced speeds in the area.

At present, services between Edinburgh and Glasgow, via Falkirk High, are disrupted along with Edinburgh to Dunblane services.

ScotRail say this is expected to continue until around 6pm.
