Travellers on the M8 faced delays during rush hour traffic this morning after a car smash near the Provan Interchange in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway at Junction 13 near the M80 slip road at around 7.25am.
The collision blocked lane two of five as rescues scrambled to recover the stricken vehicle.
Traffic Scotland warned motorists to be cautious on approach.
They tweeted: “M8 westbound J13 from the M80 slip road. Lane 2 of 5 blocked by an RTC. TRISS and police are en route. Take care on approach - traffic is heavy.”
Camera footage from the affected road section showed vehicles tailed back behind the crash.
The incident was cleared at around 7.30am.
