Rural road in North Lanarkshire closed due to ongoing police incident

A road in North Lanarkshire has been closed off due to an ongoing police incident.

Glenboig Road in Glenboig is currently closed in both directions closed between Drumcavel Road and the B804 Johnston Road.

Traffic information site INRIX confirmed the news in an alert issued this afternoon.

The release read: "Glenboig Road in both directions closed due to police incident between Drumcavel Road and B804 Johnston Road.."

The nature of the incident is not yet known.
