Rupert Grint admits he's only ever seen three of the Harry Potter films

Rupert Grint has dropped an absolute bombshell.

Despite staring in all eight of the Harry Potter films as Ron Weasley alongside co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, the actor has confessed that he hasn't seen most of them.

The 32-year-old admitted that he'd only watched the first three movies in an interview with Variety, where he opened up about his love for the franchise, his connection with his character and his thoughts on the new Harry Potter series being developed by HBO Max.

He said: "I’ve probably seen the first three at premieres, but after that, I stopped watching them."

However, a movie marathon may be on the horizon as he said that he'll most likely watch them with his daughter.

He added: "But now that I have a daughter I will probably have to watch them with her."

The actor and his girlfriend Georgia Groome, best known for her role in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, announced they were expecting their first child in April last year.

The couple welcomed their beautiful baby girl whom they named Wednesday G. Grint in May.

The star also said he doesn't expect to be a part of the Harry Potter series that HBO Max is bringing out as he feels "quite protective of that character".

Rupert admitted: "When I saw the stage shows, it was a very strange experience… If it’s like a different group of friends, I guess it would be interesting."

He is currently starring in the second series of M. Night Shyamalan's Apple TV Plus series 'Servant'.

The psychological thriller follows a bereaved couple who hire a nanny to look after their son, who is actually a therapy doll they believe to be real.
