It's the campiest and most colourful show on television.
RuPaul's Drag Race is full of glitz, glamour, music, and comedy, but it can certainly deliver when it comes to shock departures.
The show has recently horrified fans by eliminating French queen Nicky Doll in the current 12th season.
However, this shock exit does not compare to the most brutal eliminations in Drag Race history.
From physical injuries to physical clashes, to dead-on-arrival lip syncs and disqualifications, the series has seen it all.
Here are RuPaul's Drag Race's most dramatic exits from across its 12-season US run and All Stars series.
Valentina (season 9)
Beautiful fashion queen Valentina was a fan favourite for the ninth run of the show.
However, their departure from the series is already an iconic moment.
When it came to lip sync to Ariana Grande ’s Greedy, Valentina refused to remove the high-fashion mask he had on for the performance.

RuPaul stopped the lip sync and said: "This is a lip-sync for your life, we need to see your lips."
Valentina replied: "I’d like to keep it on, please."
Ru fired back: "It’s a lip-sync. What part of that don’t you understand?"
This saw Valentina finally remove their mask and it became very obvious that they did not know the words, resulting in his elimination.
At least they won Miss Congeniality!
Honey Mahogany and Vivienne Pinay (season 5)
This elimination proved to be one of the surprising as RuPaul surprised fans by ruthlessly eliminating both the queens who were lip syncing for their lives.
Honey Mahogany and Vivienne Pinay performed to Britney Spears' Oops! I Did It Again but it was dead on arrival.

The other queens were horrified at how limp and lifeless the performance was - and so was Ru.
The host swiftly got rid of both of them in a double elimination. Now, sashay away!
Adore Delano (All Stars 2)
A fan favourite from the stellar sixth season of the show, everyone was excited for Adore to return in the All Stars 2 episodes.
However, Adore was not in a good place and soon became very emotional and decided to quit the series.

It was the first time a contestant had quit the show, with it seeming that Adore was not prepared for harsh criticism from judge and friend Michelle Visage.
Eureka O'Hara (season 9)
Sadly for curvaceous Eureka, they didn't get eliminated due to a poor lip sync.
Eureka had previously injured their knee during rehearsals for a dance challenge, which continued to plague them through the series.

Eventually, it was deemed that it would be in the interest of their health and safety to leave the competition.
That didn't make it any less emotional as they said goodbye.
Thankfully, they were told they had an invitation to return in season 10 - which they did.
Willam (season 4)
This exit made it to our list of the biggest scandals on the show, but it was one of the few instances where a Queen got disqualified - here for rule-breaking.
The circumstances of Willam's departure remain murky, but the official line was that he was receiving conjugal visits from his husband - which went against the rules.

Willam joked: "Visiting makes it sound like we were visiting — there wasn’t no talking. But they were very long visits — he’s 6’6″."
Mimi Imfurst (season 3)
This is the one that led to the recurring phrase: "Drag is not a contact sport."
Mimi Imfurst and India Ferrah landed in the bottom two and began to lip sync for their lives.

India quickly gained the upper hand by getting down off the runway and performing right in front of the judges.
This led to Mimi getting off the stage too and lifting up India and grasping them over his shoulders.
“Get her off of me!” yelled India.
Once being given a dressing down by Ru, Mimi was eliminated.
Pandora Boxx (All Stars 1)
In fact, Mimi's return for the All Stars series went down like a lead balloon and contributed to the unwarranted departure of Pandora Boxx as they lost as a team.
Apologies, Pandora.
BenDeLaCreme (All Stars 3)
The clear front-runner of the third All Stars season, BenDeLaCreme shocked everyone when he eliminated himself.
Having won numerous challenges over the other contenders, DeLa won once again and had the opportunity to eliminate a queen of his choice.

Sadly, DeLa decided that he didn't want to be on the show anymore and eliminated himself.
This shock exit meant that whoever won thereafter had their win marred by DeLa's decision. Sorry, Trixie.
