RuPaul 's Drag Race contestant Sherry Pie has been disqualified from season 12 after five men accused her of catfishing them online.
Sherry Pie, whose real name is Joey Gugliemelli, debuted on Drag Race debut on Friday, but has since been axed from the show.
At least five aspiring young actors have claimed Gugliemelli, 27, catfished them over several years by posing as a casting director via email.
They alleged the drag queen duped aspiring stars to submit “disturbing” acting audition tapes .

After the accusations became public, bosses at VH1, the channel which airs RuPaul’s Drag Race, announced Gugliemelli had been disqualified from the show.
Gugliemelli has since apologised for causing "much trauma and pain" in a statement posted on Facebook .
The drag act wrote: “I know that the pain and hurt that I have caused will never go away and I know that what I did was wrong and truly cruel...


"I have been seeking help and receiving treatment since coming back to NYC.”
Gugliemelli apologised to everyone involved and added: "I also want to say how sorry I am to my sisters of season 12 and honestly the whole network and production company.
“All I can do is change the behaviour and that starts with me and doing that work."
Gugliemelli's debut in the second episode aired on Friday and and is available on Netflix .
As the show is pre-recorded, Gugliemelli may appear throughout the entire series up to the finale, during which the winner is crowned after the series has aired.
