RuPaul's Drag Race UK star A'Whora revealed she has received multiple death threats during the show's run.
The season two star took to Twitter to ask fans to "be kind" as she explained she had been dealing with online abuse.
A'Whora tweeted: "My message is simple, if you have something to say then you should be able to own it and say it to their face, If not then shut up and put up, learn from your words and be open to making mistakes, we are human and if you know you did wrong then apologise, growth is success!"
And she added: "I have had to sit here weeks upon end receiving death threats, abuse, hearing how much you hate me and had to be quiet, knowing that I knew I’d learnt and made my bed with my mistakes, I’ve had the world punish me to now know ‘never judge a book by its cover’! Please be kind!"
Her words came following an episode which saw her build bridges with fellow drag queen Tia Kofi.
The two mended their relationship, with A'Whora apologising to her co-star for her treatment of her.
After A'Whora's post, her fellow Drag Race UK contestants rushed to support her on Twitter.
Ellie Diamond tweeted: "Please be kind! This is important that we spread love NOT HATE! Treat others the way you want to be treated! It's a tv show!"
After fans also rushed to share her tweet and offer support, A'Whora responded: "Huh Wow this must be what I feels like to wake up and be liked."
