RuPaul's Drag Race Canada to air on BBC Three in July

RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off Canada’s Drag Race is coming to BBC Three in July.

Following the success of the BBC’s Drag Race UK, the first Canadian series of the competition show is set to air on BBC iPlayer throughout the summer, with 12 new drag queens competing to be named Canada’s first drag superstar.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11 finalist Brooke Lynn Hytes is joined on the judging panel by Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Stacey McKenzie, with the show featuring a new celebrity host every week, as well as a guest appearance from Michelle Visage.

From 3 June, new episodes of the 10-part series will drop weekly on BBC iPlayer every Friday.

Speaking about the show coming to BBC Three, RuPaul said: "Canada’s Drag Race airing on BBC is further proof that self-expression, creativity and the tenacity of the human spirit resonates around the globe.”

Canada’s Drag Race is the latest international version of the competition series to be broadcast around the world, with both the British version and Drag Race Thailand gaining international recognition and Drag Race Australia expected to air in 2020.

Meanwhile, All Stars 5is currently airing on Netflix, just weeks after Jaida Essence Hall was named the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12.
