Rundown office building on the market as hotel development site

A dilapidated city centre office building is for sale as a potential site for redevelopment into serviced apartments or a boutique hotel.

The property at the corner of West Regent Street and West Campbell Street in Glasgow city centre has planning consent in place to be demolished with holiday apartments in its place. It is currently home to tenants including a specialist roller skate shop, a bicycle building and repair business and sign painter.

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, on behalf of William Duncan (Business Recovery), has set a closing date of noon on 27 November for bids.

Shepherd's Adam Honeyman said: “While the Glasgow City Council planning portal shows an attractive serviced apartment scheme, the site may also be suitable for alternative uses such as a boutique hotel, office accommodation and student accommodation scheme (subject to obtaining appropriate planning consent).”
