The peace walls of North and West Belfast became the route of a new 5k race on Wednesday night.
Around 150 people, including boxer Paddy Barnes and Cliftonville’s Joe Gormley, laced up their running shoes to take on the event which was organised by the Ardoyne and Marrowbone Community Festival.
Money raised by the Run The Walls race is to help fund the North Belfast Foodbank.
Race Director and Festival Committee member Elaine Burns thanked everyone who took part in the run and "all the young people and volunteers for making it a great success".
She added: "This was a real positive community relations event involving both communities and all money raised will help those who require the service of the North Belfast Foodbank as we have seen an increase in this service for those experiencing food and fuel poverty.
"The atmosphere was amazing with residents from along the Shankill and Ardoyne coming out to show their support to the runners.
"We hope that this run will continue each year and would encourage all running clubs and everyone to get involved. Thanks also to Joe Gormley and Paddy Barnes for helping to start the race. This event was as part of the Ardoyne/Bone Community festival."
