It’s the route used for the Bristol 10k (runbristol.com) and the landmarks that you pass make the kilometres fly by.
0k Start outside the At-Bristol Science Centre. Remember to start the Lifelog app on your Xperia Z3, SmartWatch 3 or SmartBand Talk, so you can see how far and fast you’re running using GPS.
1k As you run along Hotwells, look to your left and you’ll see Isambard Brunel’s famous ship, the SS Great Britain, in its dry dock. Turn left down Merchant’s Road, making your way towards Cumberland Basin Road.
2k The riverside path will take you out into the Avon Gorge. Put your head down and focus on speed.
3k Take a picture with your Xperia Z3 as you pass the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The Xperia Z3’s exceptional light sensitivity means you can capture print-quality pictures – even in low light.
4k A little way past the 4k point, you’ll turn and come back on yourself. The point has a painted white T on the kerb.
7k At the end of the Cumberland Basin, turn right across the swing bridge and carry on running for almost the entire length of Spike Island.
8k Run across the Prince Street Bridge and loop around Centre Promenade then back down to your start point to complete 10k. Your Xperia Z3, SmartWatch 3 or SmartBand Talk will have tracked your time, so open the Lifelog app to see how well you did.
