The National Lottery has announced that the winning Euromillions ticket worth over €1 million was sold at a popular supermarket on the outskirts of Waterford City.
The 'Ireland Only Raffle' winner bought the ticket at Tesco, Ardkeen Village, Co. Waterford, on Thursday, August 19.
Another ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ prize of an additional €1 million was won in last Friday’s draw by an online player in Dublin.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We are calling on our EuroMillions players, particularly those who may have purchased their ticket at the Tesco store in Ardkeen, Co. Waterford to check their tickets very carefully, being sure to check their numbers and raffle codes.
“If you are the lucky ticketholder from Waterford, we ask you to sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize.”
Last night's draw was the fourth and final draw in the National Lottery's EuroMillions special 'Ireland Only Raffle' event, which guaranteed to make five brand new millionaires in Ireland over two weeks with a series of special EuroMillions 'Ireland Only Raffle' events. The five winning tickets worth €1,005,000 were won by players in Dublin (2), Louth, Waterford and Wicklow.

Meanwhile, there was no winner of Saturday night's draw of €11.3 million, which means excitement is building as next Wednesday’s jackpot is heading for an estimated €12 million.
The jackpot has been rolling since June 9, with the next winner of the prize becoming the 6 th Lotto winner in 2021.
The largest Lotto winners of 2021 were a Kilkenny family who won a whopping €12.7 million windfall in April this year.
The National Lottery has urged people to buy their tickets now to be in with a chance of being Ireland's next millionaire.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
