Rumoured Irish Love Island hopeful posts clue and hints she may be on show despite not being in line-up

Dublin bombshell Lucy Plunkett was rumoured to appear on the new series of Love Island this month.

While the official Love Island social media accounts haven’t posted about Lucy yet, she may have hinted at her place in the matchmaking show.

Lucy shared an Instagram story with her 14.4k followers last night showing a dusky pink sunset over Dublin Airport. Could this mean she’s jetting off to join the other Love Island contestants in sunny Majorca this summer?

Last week, she hinted at life in the villa on her Instagram story, showing off new bikinis and added the caption: “Ordering my last takeaway tonight, I’m emotional.”

A friend of Lucy’s said that the no-nonsense Dubliner can “come across as mean or a b*tch due to her honest nature, but she is a girl's girl and is a sweetheart once you get to know her.

“But if someone crosses her she won’t have a problem speaking her mind. She can be problematic.”

The 20-year-old is looking for love on the hit Virgin Media show but "may find it hard to find someone" because she is "very picky".

Dublin Live reports that Lucy was contacted by Love Island producers through Instagram and asked to audition.

Her appearance hasn't been announced officially yet, but If the rumours are true we will all be eager to see another Irish Love Island contestant on our telly this year when Lucy Plunkett steps into the villa in Pollensa, Majorca when the show returns on June 28.
