Rumoured Celtic target Andraz Sporar 'put up for sale' by Sporting CP

One of Celtic 's rumoured transfer targets from the recent past could be about to come onto the market once again, after Andraz Sporar was reportedly told he can leave Sporting CP.

The 27-year-old striker was heavily linked with a potential move to the Parkhead club back in January 2020, only for Sporting to swoop in and complete a deal to sign him for a fee of around £5million from Slovan Bratislava.

The Slovenian international bagged just nine goals in 29 Liga Nos games before being loaned to Braga in January, and now it appears Sporar will once again be on the market this summer as Portuguese newspaper Record insist that Sporting are keen to get him off their books.

However, the report states that the Sporting hierarchy would be looking for a fee in the region of at least €8million, and it remains to be seen whether or not the Hoops would be willing to push the boat out to that extent.

Given the futures of Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths are far from certain, and with the likes of Albian Ajeti failing to convince he has what it takes to be an important player for Celtic, the Glasgow giants could certainly do with getting some attacking reinforcements signed up as quickly as possible.
