With Countdown welcoming its newest host, Anne Robinson, today, excitement surrounding the treasured letters and numbers show has been bubbling.
And if you frequently watch it with a pen and paper in hand or beat Rachel to the answer of the numerical puzzles, then you've probably got what it takes to apply for the show.
The application process may be a little more involved than some other game shows but it is straightforward enough.
You can apply online by registering for an account and filling out a few forms on the website.
In terms of initial requirements, contestants must be 16 or over, a resident of the UK or Ireland and must not be an employee or family member of an employee working on the production company.
In terms of more personal questions, the application process asking individuals about their qualifications, their occupations, their hobbies and if they have any unusual or entertaining quirks. The latter will, no doubt, add fuel to Anne Robinson's famous witty remarks.
