Hot on the heels of Plate Day, Ladies Day is back at Newcastle Races on Saturday, July 27 and plenty of well dressed punters will flock to put bets on in their finery.

Speaking of which, there has been a change in the dress code for this year, as well as big first for the event, with an throughout the day.

A number of different tickets are available for Beeswing Ladies Day and one of them does allow you to take a picnic in.

To take a picnic in, you'll need to purchase a Grandstand Paddock/Picnic ticket, which are available for £35 online from Newcastle Racecourse website.

However, if you are attending with a picnic, you will need to enter via the Picnic Enclosure entrance and you still can't take any alcohol or any soft drinks, other than water, in with you.

Picnics are not permitted in the Grandstand & Paddock area.

If you aren't taking a picnic in via the Picnic entrance, you won't be allowed to take any food or drink into the Racecourse.
