Show business journalists are used to facing odd restrictions imposed by publicists before they are allowed to interview certain celebrities. But Tom Cruise's PRs may have taken the level of control to a new level.
An Italian publication LeiWeb opened its interview with Cruise by listing three rules its reporter had to accept prior to an interview pegged to his latest movie, Valkyrie.
The first, that the interviewer must have seen the film, was understandable. But the second - "must have liked Valkryie" - was extraordinary. The third, however, was bizarre: "must have read a letter about how scientology has never been banned in Germany." And Cruise won't even talk about being a scientologist. (Via Gawker)
