Rugby World Cup news 2019 LIVE: England team latest and build-up, Wales react to Rob Howley scandal

The 2019 Rugby World Cup is almost upon us, with Friday's tournament opener between hosts Japan and minnows Russia in Tokyo now tantalisingly close.

With the 20 teams now arrived in East Asia, the next few days are about finalising preparations for what promises to be a memorable six weeks of action.

England begin their Pool C campaign against Tonga in Sapporo on Sunday, shortly after Ireland and Scotland go head to head in Yokohama.

Wales kick off against Georgia in Toyota City next Monday morning, while there is a mammoth clash on Saturday between southern hemisphere giants New Zealand and South Africa.
