Rugby World Cup 2019: Omniplex Dundonald to show free screenings of Ireland's matches in Japan

The excitement and anticipation is building ahead of Ireland's opening Rugby World Cup clash with Scotland on Sunday.

Many fans have made the trip to Japan to watch Joe Schmidt's side in action.

As as well as the Scots, they will also face hosts Japan, Russia and Samoa in the Pool stages.

There will be plenty of fans tuning into the matches on their TV screens at home.

But if you a bit of big-match craic and atmosphere then the Dundonald Omniplex could be the place to go for the matches.

That's because Omniplex cinemas will host screenings of Ireland's matches in select locations - and it's free!

Free admission tickets will be available at the box office for each match on a first-come, first-serve basis, but there is also an £8 breakfast pre-book option that includes a ticket.

Participating cinemas include Dundonald, Cork, Limerick and Rathmines.

In a statement on its website, Omniplex said: "To support our boys in green in Japan, we’re hosting screenings of the RWC Ireland games in Omniplex Cork, Limerick, Rathmines, & Dundonald so you can experience the nail-biting tension on the big screen.

"We promise a great atmosphere, perfect view from every seat, digital surround sound and to make things even better, we are providing a breakfast pre-book option for the perfect start to your day.

"Tickets are free at the box office on the day of the match (subject to availability) or you can pre-book your breakfast online which guarantees a reserved seat.

"Doors open 45 minutes before kick off, so you can pick up your breakfast roll & get settled in your seat! The above offer is subject to availability and licence."
