Follow live updates from the Rugby World Cup as New Zealand return to action this morning to take on Canada.

The All Blacks put in a composed and measured performance to beat fierce rivals South Africa in their opening match, cementing their status as favourites to lift the Webb Ellis Cup next month.

Steve Hansen has made 11 changes for today's Pool B fixture at the Oita Stadium, with New Zealand expected to romp to victory against a Canadian side that was beaten 48-7 by Italy. Follow the live action below:

Hello all and welcome to The Independent's live coverage of this morning's Rugby World Cup clash between New Zealand and Canada.

Business in Fukuoka has concluded, with France nervy victors over a fighting USA, and now it is time for New Zealand against Canada at the Oita Stadium.

Is the question more how many than how? Can Canada stymie the All Blacks at all? Kick-off is not too far away. Let's get to the team news...

Team News - New Zealand

Barretts-a-three for New Zealand, with Scott, Beauden and Jordie all named to start - just the second set of brothers to do so in a World Cup fixture.

Faces new and old in the side, with Sonny Bill Williams back in at second five-eighth alongside mulleted menace Jack Goodhue, while Rieko Ioane will be hoping to prove a point after being displaced - the wing has 23 tries in 26 international games, but like Joe Rokocoko and Julian Savea before him has been pushed out by an even more prolific scorer.

Richie Mo'unga continues at ten as Steve Hansen sticks with his dual playmaker system.

Team News - Canada

Canada can bring back fit-again Evan Olmstead to the second row, with the wildman-looking lock no stranger to many of those in black from his time playing provincially with Auckland. Captain Tyler Ardron is even more familiar - a couple of Chiefs team mates start in the front row for New Zealand.

Ciaran Hearn and Conor Trainor are both in to the side and combine in a midfield with the potential to cause trouble, while DTH van der Merwe was excellent against Italy, and the veteran will be looking to create some havoc down the left flank again.
Our first sighting of Oita of the tournament, and under a domed roof being sprinkled with rain the players stride out for the anthems. Not dissimilar to the London Stadium, this arena, with stands pushed back from the pitch and a similarly garish green carpet covering the gap. Get the claret in, gents, it works wonders.

Anyway, Aotearoa/God Defend New Zealand to kick our pre-match festivities off...
"Oh Canada" isn't an anthem that invites too much gusto, but the Canadians give it their best go, nervously keeping the legs warm with kicks and flicking of the thighs.

Time to face the haka
Kieran Read at the head of the All Blacks line as Canada stare them down. Slapping, screaming, tongue-wagging, you know the drill. A well coordinated war dance.

KICK OFF
Romain Poite is our referee, and a long blow of the whistle gets us underway
1 minute

Great start for New Zealand - Scott Barrett leaps highest and claims a short jabbed restart, and the All Blacks are into their work immediately, with Sonny Bill Williams releasing the first of many offloads to come.
2 minutes

A clean break through the middle after Jordie Barrett makes ground on the right touchline, with Matt Todd running a hard line against the grain and feeding a supporting TJ Perenara, so good on that cheat line.

Kieran Read picks and goes, but the captain is held up. Five-metre scrum for New Zealand.
4 minutes

New Zealand appear to drive early and the scrum goes down, but Romain Poite says it is only a reset, not a free-kick.

Now a free kick TO New Zealand - early engage from Canada. Best part of three minutes we've been waiting for this scrum now...
TRY!
TRY! Penalty try!

A great drive from New Zealand, and Romain Poite pings them for standing up as Kieran Read controls at the back. Penalty try, seven points.

New Zealand 7-0 Canada
7 minutes

New Zealand make another break with TJ Perenara again involved in support, but when they work the ball infield Lucas Rumball is sharp to retrieve a loose bit of rucking and nick the ball.

Canada attack, with DTH van der Merwe one-on-one with Shannon Frizell on the wing, but the large blindside flanker manages to corral his man and allows Kieran Read to get over the ball, winning a penalty, which Richie Mo'unga puts into the corner.
TRY!
TRY! That's two!

New Zealand carry well, getting over the gainline to suck in the Canada defence, and Richie Mo'unga calls for the ball.

And why not? Jordie Barrett has about 20 yards of space on the right wing, Mo'unga hoists out towards him and it is an unopposed catch and score for the youngest brother.

Mo'unga adds the two.

New Zealand 14-0 Canada
11 minutes

Jack Goodhue sees the ball slip through his hands on the left, but Canada concede a penalty as he dives to recover his error.
13 minutes

Better from Canada, winning the ball back and putting up a good high kick, with Gordon McRorie's box well-weighted, and Beauden Barrett knocks on in the air.

Peter Nelson again looks to use the boot, but fires right into the arms of Richie Mo'unga in the backfield.
14 minutes

Mo'unga kicks the mark long into touch, and the lineout falls into Shannon Frizell's hands, who sets off on a long-legged charge, putting a dent in a Canadian player as he takes contact.

Whipped to the right and it is B.Barrett to J.Barrett, with Beauden perhaps giving the pass slightly to early and thus seeing his brother bundled over the touchline before he can release the one-handed offload back to him. Canada take the lineout down and clear.
TRY? TJ Perenara dives for the corner but has he got it down?
Brilliant attacking play from New Zealand, with Sonny Bill Williams getting his arms through contact to tee up Jordie Barrett on an arcing charge, and Shannon Frizell's great strides bound him onwards.

Rieko Ioane is stopped just shy of the line but Perenara dives from the base, and might just have squeezed this in the corner.
