Rugby's most watched video right now as 18m see New Zealand star taunted

Rugby's most viral video right now has raked in over 18 million views in the space of just three days.

The moment occurred at a Canada Sevens match between Samoa and New Zealand, with Samoa's Owen Niue the cheeky try-scorer on the day.

The wing started his run deep within his own half, and began gloating at chasing defender Ngarohi McGarvey Black before he had even reached the 22.

While haring down towards the whitewash, Niue had his tongue stuck out, holding eye contact with the would-be tackler the entire time. Once he dotted down, the 22-year-old ruffled the head of McGarvey Black with ball in hand.

You can watch the viral moment below.

The commentary team loved the cheekiness from Niue, saying: "You've got to love the enthusiasm, the cockiness, don't you? By no means is this game done and dusted, but why not have a go?".

As well as racking up almost 20M views, the RugbyPass video has picked up 2.1M likes. It is by far the most popular rugby video on the platform right now, with another 250,000 views on Instagram.

The game finished 31-24 to New Zealand, but it was Argentina who would go on to win the tournament.
