Two venues in Caerphilly county have been issued with improvement notices for failing to follow Welsh Government coronavirus rules.
Abertysswg RFC and the Valley Tavern in Blackwood have been given 48 hours to improve on the issues highlighted by officers, otherwise further enforcement action will be considered.
According to Caerphilly council's improvement notice, Abertysswg RFC failed to ensure social distancing and failed to take other measures to limit close face-to-face interactions.
The improvement notice said the rugby club failed to make sure people sitting together were of the same household, the jukebox volume was too loud to be considered background noise and there was no recording of visitor mobile numbers for Track and Trace.
The Valley Tavern pub in Blackwood also failed to ensure that a two-metre distance was maintained and failed to ensure people sitting together were from the same household.
Both venues will have 48 hours to comply with the regulation and will face a further inspection to determine whether the improvement notice is dropped, or further action is necessary.
Caerphilly council has the option to issue a closure notice if venues fail to comply with rules after being issued with an improvement notice.
Abertysswg Workmens Club is already subject to a 14-day closure notice for failing to comply with lockdown restrictions.
