Rudiger and Willian start as Mount replaces Kovacic - Expected Chelsea team vs Leicester City

Frank Lampard will be in charge of Chelsea for the very first time at Stamford Bridge today when Leicester City make the trip to the capital.

Following a good pre-season for the Blues with only one defeat from seven games, the new head coach has yet to taste victory in his two competitive matches in charge.

Falling to a 4-0 defeat at Manchester United last Sunday despite making a promising start to the game, Chelsea once again lost in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday as Liverpool beat them on penalties following a 2-2 draw after extra time.

Lampard's side performed very well in the game and now he is fully focused on claiming his first three points as boss as the team look to get up and running in the Premier League.

The game against the Foxes could see the club's record goalscorer make a few changes to his side after playing 120 minutes in midweek.

Andreas Christensen is a doubt for the game having limped off just before full-time against Liverpool.

That could see Antonio Rudiger return to the team for the first time since the end of the 2018/19 campaign, with Fikayo Tomori also an option to start following David Luiz's move to Arsenal.

Willian is also another player who could be handed his chance in the starting XI after returning to the squad against the Reds in midweek, while Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham could come back in after starting on the substitutes' bench in Istanbul.

Here's how we think the Blues will start against Leicester at Stamford Bridge.

Predicted Chelsea team vs Leicester: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, Emerson, Jorginho, Kante, Mount, Willian, Pulisic, Abraham.
