Rudi Voller makes Rangers prediction as Bayer Leverkusen director remains bullish on Europa League second leg

Bullish Rudi Voller is already looking ahead to the Europa League quarter-finals, despite still having to play the second leg against Rangers.

Bayer Leverkusen side won 3-1 at Ibrox in the first leg of their last 16 tie, with the return to be played in Germany next month.

On Friday the draw for the last eight was made, with Inter or Getafe waiting in the quarter-finals for the winner of the tie.

Voller is confident that won't be Steven Gerrard's men, as he insists his side have one foot in the next round already.

The Leverkusen director said: "We have a good chance of winning against Rangers.

"Then we'd play Inter or Getafe, definitely two of the most difficult teams we could have drawn.

"It just goes to show you can't take anything for granted in the Europa League."

Sporting director Simon Rolfes was slightly more cautious, but couldn't help looking ahead to a potential mouthwatering tie.

He said: "We have to and we want to wrap up qualification against Rangers, that's our main objective.

"After that a very difficult European test against Inter or Getafe would await us.

"Either would be a great challenge."
