
Randoseru rucksacks for new elementary school children are lined up at Tsuchiya Kaban, a bag manufacturer in Adachi Ward, Tokyo, as production is at its peak before the April entrance ceremony season. The maker is preparing rucksacks of 56 kinds of design, and its craftspeople, using sewing machines and hammers, assemble a rucksack from about 150 parts, including cowhide and metal fittings, by going through around 300 steps.
