Ruchill police incident: No arrests after armed officers carry out search at property

Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made after armed officers conducted a search at a property in the Ruchill area of Glasgow.

Officers, assisted by specialist resources, carried out a search at an address in Parkbrae Gate around 12.55pm this afternoon as part of an ongoing enquiry.

Locals reported seeing two helicopters flying low in the area as well as police vans parked on Parkbrae Gardens.

Police confirm that there was no risk to the wider public and no one was arrested.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Officers, assisted by specialist resources, carried out a search at an address in Parkbrae Gate, in the Ruchill area of Glasgow, around 12.55pm on Saturday, 11 July, as part of an ongoing enquiry.

"There was no risk to the wider public and no one was arrested."
