Ruben Dias to fly to Manchester on Sunday amid Man City interest and more transfer rumours

Ruben Dias will travel to Manchester tomorrow to complete a move to Manchester City, according to reports.

With just over a week to go until the transfer window closes, City are still trying to bring another top quality centre-back to the club following their struggles at the back last season.

Nathan Ake has already made an impressive debut at the Etihad following his move from Bournemouth this summer but Pep Guardiola remains keen to add even more depth and quality to his defence.

Kalidou Koulibaly has been the top target all summer but, as there has still yet to be a breakthrough in negotiations with Napoli, City have started to explore alternatives.

M.E.N. Sport understands that the Blues have stepped up their interest in Dias, and could even offer Nicolas Otamendi as a make-weight in any deal.

According to TVI24, via SportWitness, Dias to City is a ‘done deal,' with the Blues paying €50millon upfront to Benfica plus €15million in bonuses, though the Portugese club will claim the deal is worth €80million.

That's because, the report states, Otamendi will be heading to Lisbon in exchange, with the Argentine's transfer being worth €15million.

Dias started for Benfica on Saturday night in their Primeira Liga fixture against Moreinense and it's reported he will now fly to Manchester to complete the move to City on Sunday.

It's understood that Sevilla's Jules Kounde and Jose Gimenez of Atletico Madrid are also being considered as alternatives.

Meanwhile, Houssem Aouar has an agreement to join Arsenal, according to L'Equipe.

They say the Lyon midfielder, who has been linked with City on and off for some time, has agreed to join Mikel Arteta's men, with the clubs still to agree a transfer fee.

Pep Guardiola has publicly praised Aouar, who impressed again in last season's Champions League exit to Lyon, with the Frenchman admitting such praise and links to City were flattering.
