'Rubbish' - Nottingham Forest fans hit back at Simon Jordan over scathing attack on players

Nottingham Forest's fans have hit back at talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan after he accused the club's players of letting down their former manager Chris Hughton.

Jordan's comments have infuriated many Forest supporters, who have made their views clear on social media.

"I don’t think so, I think the players were still trying to play for Hughton but tactics were making it very difficult to get results," said one fan.

"Or the manager's tactics weren't good enough and therefore the players did not buy into it," another added.

Here's what some other supporters had to say on Twitter...

Lee: "Simon you are very wrong here, it was the dire negative football under Hughton. Look back at what past players and fans have said at Norwich etc, they all said he was negative and when going a goal down he would protect that rather than win."

Ben Small: "Disagree, the same players who have all to a man come out and stated the manager doing things differently has been the catalyst for the improved form. Simon talking nonsense from afar, on this occasion."

Paul Walford: The manager wasn't good enough end of. Cooper is a forward thinking modern coach it's no surprise we’ve turned on the style these last two games."

Philip Humber: "Rubbish... Under CH not a single player improved and some regressed, his tactics were dire and it was obvious players were shackled. You could use poor Ryan Yates as an example, kid been hung to dry by fans etc even though he gives 100%. SC has made changes and he's flying."

Will Hobson: "Well off the mark on this one."

CPG: "Simon I normally respect your opinion but you’ve got this very wrong look at the tactics employed by Hughton compared to tactics employed by Cooper, 2 very different managers with different outlooks one was very negative even with his comments…. The other is very positive."

Gavin: "The previous manager didn't allow players to express themselves. Hughton talked up the opposition all the time."
