Rubbish bins in Alyth missed by Perth and Kinross Council for the third time in a month

Bin collections have been missed in an eastern Perthshire village for the third time in just a month.

Perth and Kinross Council was unable to complete the scheduled kerbside bin collections in Alyth on Monday, March 2.

This comes after bin collections in Alyth were missed on Monday, February 3 and again on Monday, February 17.

Residents are now being told to leave their bins out on the kerbside for another two days to let the council come back for them.

A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council said: “Due to operational reasons, we were unable to complete bin collections in the Alyth area yesterday (Monday, March 2).

“Please leave the missed bins out for a further 48 hours to enable us to collect them.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
