Ruaidhri Donnelly to Glentoran: Striker reveals how big move came about

Ruaidhri Donnelly has spoken for the first time since joining Glentoran.

Donnelly has joined the Glens from Cliftonville in a three-and-a-half-year deal.

It is another massive statement of intent from the East Belfast club who sit top of the Danske Bank Premiership and are targeting a first title since 2009.

Donnelly did an exclusive interview with Glentoran's YouTube channel where he spoke about the move.

"I am excited. It is a big day for me and my family. I can't wait to get started here" he said.

"It has been a crazy 24 hours. I didn't know much about it until last night, and everything has happened very quickly and I am delighted to be here now.

"I came in from training last night and I had a call at the front door from a mate of mine. And he said Mick and Paul (Millar) wanted to speak to me.

"So I said 'okay, I'll go and speak to them'. So I came over and got to know them, they seem lovely guys.

"I went home and me and the missus were having a chat, and the decision was made that it was best for me to come here."
