RTE viewers make sharp observation following the latest episode of 'Kin'

RTE viewers were left with a humorous query following the latest episode of crime series 'Kin.'

The second series of the hit show is well underway, with cast members such as Aidan Gillen and Maria Doyle Kennedy back on screen. The show documents the tumultuous lives of the Kinsella crime family. Much of the current excitement stems from the introduction of hardened criminal Bren, played by Francis Magee, following his release from prison.

However, some people were quick to poke fun at the show's less than realistic portrayal of crime. One person pointed to the general absence of the Gardai as the gangland family's antics ensued.

They wrote: "The Undercover Gardai on Kin are VERY undercover….Not a sign of any of ‘em."

Other people began to speculate about Bren's future on the show. The character left viewers terrified following his introduction this season as he quickly established his role within the fray.

One person wondered: "I’m wondering if the blood pressure or a bullet take Bren out first."

New episodes of the hit show air weekly. The programme first went on air in 2021 but the hype for 'Kin' remains just as strong as it enters its second season.

Another fan wrote: "Can I just say Kin is one of the best Irish drama shows on RTE at the moment."

Kin airs every Sunday night on RTE One at 9:35pm and is available on RTE Player.
