RTE viewers in awe as they heap praise on Tommy Tiernan guest Sinead Kane for 'best interview'

The Tommy Tiernan show once again returned to screens this week as the comedian welcomed a host of interesting guests.

This week the Navan funnyman's first guest was the visually impaired Guinness record holder and runner Dr Sinead Kane who immediately captivated viewers

Sinead made a memorable entrance to the show after she shocked Tommy straight away by admitting that she was not necessarily a big fan of his some time ago.

But she admitted that she has since grown to like him for his 'compassion' which he has shown while hosting

The Cork woman spoke openly and honestly about how her visual impairment has affected her all throughout her life in a captivating interview that had viewers in awe.

Sinead shared her journey as a record breaking runner and the challenges associated with her being blind.

But the interview took a particularly moving turn when Sinead spoke of the horrors of being bullied for her disability as a child as well as an how her love life and prospects for having children in the future.

Naturally viewers were moved by Sinead's honesty.

One wrote on social media: "Absolutely delighted to see Sinead Cane talking to Tommy Tiernan tonight. She is an absolute legend and a really lovely lady too.

Another added: "First time watching the Tommy Tiernan show, I was never a fan of him as a comedian but he is unreal on the Tommy Tiernan show! His interview with @blindrunner777 was unreal, what an amazing lady!

"This has to be one of the best tommy tiernan interviews, she has really won this sinead, your dome woman for one woman.", said one.

Another said: "Dr. Sinead Kane is my new inspiration. Like what a phenomenal woman."
