Tonight marked the first episode in RTE’s eight-part current affairs panel series as David McCullagh took the reins for the new Monday night show.
In place of Claire Byrne Live which came off the air back in May, tonight's programme sparked major debate online as viewers had their say on the new installment.
This brand-new current affairs panel discussion will focus on the major issues that are having an impact on people's lives across the country, with tonight’s focus on the cost of living in Ireland.

In the opening episode, McCullagh presented an examination of the impact the cost-of-living crisis is having and the challenges people face every day as many of them struggle to survive.
There were many debates being had on Twitter over the show and its contents - which is to be expected with the nature of this panel format show - however, viewers generally came to a positive consensus online.
As the show came to a close, one viewer wrote: “@ClaireByrneLive will be missed. But #MondayNightLive is a worthy successor.”
A second wrote: “Brilliant show excellent panel @SimonHarrisTD great rapport well done to the Production team who put it together it flowed very well.”
A third said: “OK, I've changed my mind, having real people give some real talk to gov ministers on tele is very good.”
