RTE viewers emotional and left on edge watching ‘tense’ eliminator on Ireland’s Fittest Family

Sunday’s quarter final episode of Ireland’s Fittest Family saw four teams led by Davy, Anna and Derval battle it out for dominance.

Derval had two families battling out in the semi finals, the Cullens and the Mileys. Davy was backing the Mahoneys while Anna cheered on the Doyles.

It was the Doyles and the Mileys that found themselves in the bottom two after the Mahoneys and the Cullens nabbed victory in the first two challenges and progressed to the semi-finals.

The challenge saw the families face a gruelling obstacle course finished off by a daunting, 10ft climbing wall.

One user wrote: “Ireland’s Fittest Family was epic tonight! What a finish to the eliminator!

“Credit to @DavyFitz1 for creating this excellent programme keeping us entertained during lockdown!”

Another said: “What is wrong with me, I'm getting pure emotional watching #IrelandsFittestFamily you get so invested in the families.”

A third added: “Oh my god that eliminator. My heart was in my mouth. Such a good end. congrats to the Mileys”

A fourth said: “What a finish to #IrelandsFittestFamily I was nearly out of the chair watching them in that eliminator.”

Ireland’s Fittest Family will return next week for the semi-final.
