RTE to show Dundalk's crucial Europa League play-off against KI Klaksvik

Dundalk's massive Europa League play-off against KI Klaksvik will be shown on RTE this Thursday.

The Premier Division champions have a crack at a €3 million payday and the group stages this week after a sensational shoot-out win against Sheriff last week.

And with no fans allowed at European qualifying games, fans won't miss a moment after RTE confirmed they'll broadcast the Aviva Stadium clash.

With kick-off at 7.30 pm, fans can tune into RTE Two from 7 pm for all the build-up for the club's biggest game in over five years.

The club find themselves in the incredible position just weeks after head coach Vinny Perth was sacked and replaced by rookie Filippo Giovagnoli after Champions League and Premier Division disappointment.

But after an encouraging win in Andorra against Inter d'Escaldes and a successful trip to Transnistria last time out, the club could well enjoy a successful season - on the books at least.

Things aren't quite as promising at home for Dundalk though, they find themselves in a race for European qualification this season as their early title challenge faded after the restart this summer.
