RTE will air a tribute documentary in honour of former colleague Keelin Shanley.
Keelin Shanley: Faraway, Still Close - which has been co-directed by her husband, Conor Ferguson - will look at the life of the RTE journalist who passed away from cancer in February 2020, aged just 51.
The documentary will be approximately 50 minutes long, with her husband hoping it will be "a true reflection of their relationship".
The documentary will include an interview with Keelin one month before she passed away.
Her husband Conor was initially unsure as to whether it should have been included or not.
"The memoir helped her to reflect on her past and the work that she had done. She agreed to do the interview even though it wasn’t in her nature to be confessional or talk herself up.," he told the RTE Guide.
"But it gave her an opportunity to look back on her life in RTÉ. I think it is an amazing thing to have, to have someone speaking from the grave as it were. She is not well in that final interview but she is empowered, in charge of her own story."
Keelin Shanley: Faraway, Still Close will air on Monday, November 8, at 9.35 pm on RTE One.
