RTE stars turn out in style as 2fm presenter Carl Mullan marries childhood sweetheart

2fm star Carl Mullan married his childhood sweetheart Aisling Brennan in an intimate ceremony on Friday.

The RTE broadcaster was joined by his well-known colleagues at the Wicklow wedding.

Paediatric nurse Aisling and the 2fm Breakfast Show presenter were childhood friends and have been together for six years.

They were wed with their nine-month-old son Daibhí and dog Angie by their side.

The happy couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Ballybeg House, surrounded by their friends and family.

The bride, a front line worker usually seen in scrubs, walked down the aisle with her mother in an elegant gown created by Irish designer Aoife Kennedy.

In the first photo shared from the wedding, the Mullans are seen laughing as guests shower them in confetti.

Among the RTE stars in attendance were Carl's Breakfast Show co-hosts Doireann Garrihy and Donncha O’Callaghan.

Carl and Aisling became engaged after he popped the question in October 2020.

Writing on Instagram at the time: "Loved her since I was 11 and buzzing to let you all know she said yes."

They then welcomed their first child, a baby boy called Daibhí, last August.

The presenter shared a heartwarming caption with his followers to announce the arrival of his bundle of joy.

He said: “Welcome to the world Daibhí Mullan, it’s pretty great here, you’re going to love it.”

The doting dad shared an adorable video of his baby boy, adding his gratitude for everyone’s support.

He said: “Thank you, everyone, for all the lovely messages checking in on us over the last couple of weeks.”
