RTE star Ryan Tubridy has said he won't "watch a minute" of Love Island - but refused to criticise those who do, instead taking a jab at those who look down on the reality show.
The show for singletons made a long-awaited return on Monday evening to the delight of thousands of viewers.
Longford lass Maura Higgins made her name on the reality show back in 2019 and throughout the premiere episode on Monday, we had people questioning who would be the superstar this time around.
As usual, it split people on social media, with those who tuned in delighted and those who didn't less than impressed with the apparent "takeover" of their feeds.
One man who wasn't tuning in was the Late Late Show presenter, who addressed the return on Monday morning on his radio show.
Referring to a segment on the show which preceded his, Morning Ireland, in which they discussed Love Island, Ryan said: "Morning Ireland has Long Covid when they're doing Love Island as a thought piece.

"You can't be a snob about Love Island, it's like mocking the sun. It brings happiness and joy to people's lives. I won't watch a minute - but I won't knock it either."
Ryan then made a joke that despite not watching, the discussions in the RTE circles meant he understood everything.
"By osmosis, I know they've all got botchjob operations on their face, they're wearing horrible wedges. It's crude, it's un-woke, it's adorable to watch and future generations will have faces that are melted after these botched jobs"
