RTE star Kathryn Thomas shares pregnancy update as she is set for break from TV

Kathryn Thomas has shared an update on her pregnancy as she admitted she is now counting down the days before giving birth.

The RTE star shared a snap from the Coombe Hospital in Dublin as she waited for an appointment, adding that she was now in her third trimester, RSVP Live reports.

In a picture of her sitting masked in the waiting room and shared on social media, she wrote: "The Waiting Game, #thirdtrimester".

Friends and followers quickly rushed in to share well wishes with Kathryn, with friend Glenda Gilson joking that she remembered that same waiting room well, while others wished her luck ahead of the birth of her second baby.

Kathryn has been slowly winding down from work and is due to give birth in a matter of weeks in October.

She revealed that she has slowed down her training and is now "waddling more than walking" when she is out training, and finished filming RTE series, No Place Like Home.

However, she did admit that the urge to organise during pregnancy had kicked in, and she had somehow found herself in the midst of a renovation project with just weeks to go, all in the name of nesting.

“Why do we do this? You bring someone new into the world and you want to turn your house upside down?,” she asked.

“But anyway, I enjoy it, it’s exciting but it’s added stress maybe that could have been done a couple of months ago.

“We have loads of lovely navy's and teals in our house, which I love, but I think having been in the house so much over the past year and a half, and knowing I’m going to be there with the baby for much of the winter, I need it to be light and bright!

“So what started out as just a new room for Ellie with loads of storage, has turned into new colour pallets, new kitchen counters, new couch, new doors - sure why wouldn’t you!

“It’s kind of hard to stop once you get started. But it’s exciting and a change is as good as the rest isn’t that what they say?”.
