TV star Baz Ashmawy is looking for another family to take part in the new season of RTE’s hit series DIY SOS.
The presenter was praised and applauded widely online by fans of his heart-wrenching RTE series last year, as show proved a TV winner - pulling in over half a million viewers each week.
And as a new season is set to roll around, the Emmy winning telly star revealed that he is on the hunt for another family to take part in the next series.
Taking to social media in a call out to fans, he said:
“As you know I do a show called DIY SOS where we adapt the homes of families who are maybe suffering from a devastating illness or life-altering condition and we try to adapt their homes to make them more liveable and to help those families out.
“And we’re still looking for families, which is amazing, one family actually.
“So if you know someone that you think this might help or maybe your family please apply.”
DIY SOS The Big Build Ireland sees Baz and his team of builders transform the homes of incredibly deserving families in just nine days.
As a series, it pulls on the heartstrings of viewers at home, as it aims to bring out the very best in people.
The series showcases how armies of volunteer builders, labourers, traders, suppliers, friends and neighbours come together giving their time, labour and materials for free to help local families whose lives have been impacted by a significant loss or misfortune in the hit show.
According to the sign-up site, the person who needs help must ‘need changes made to their house, not just want’.
