RTE Sports Awards nominees, start time, TV channel information and more

The RTE Sports Awards take place this weekend, with a number of Ireland's top athletes up for the massive accolade of 'Sportsperson of the Year'.

As well as the main prize, the show will also see the awarding of the Young Sportsperson of the Year, Team of the Year and Manager of the Year wins.

There will also be a new member of the RTE Sport Hall of Fame inducted on the night, which is one of the most highly anticipated on the Irish sporting calendar.

Here's all you need to know about the awards ceremony:

What time is the ceremony?

The award ceremony takes place at 9.20 PM on Saturday, December 14.

Where is it on?

The RTE headquarters at Donnybrook in Dublin (Niall Carson/PA Wire)

The event will be broadcast from RTE Studios in Dublin.

What channel can I watch it on?

The event will air live at 9.20 PM on RTE 1.
