RTE schedule change for Easter Sunday leaves Fair City CANCELLED

There's bad news for Fair City fans who'll have to go without their Carrigstown fix this Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Our favourite Irish soap opera is not going to be on air tonight after RTE bosses cancelled it in a change of schedules for Easter Sunday.

Normally, the long-running shows airs every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but things are a little different for fans this week.

Liam Cunningham admits shooting 'disgusting' Game of Thrones scenes made him question his morals

Great Lighthouses of Ireland will be followed by an hour long Room to Improve, meaning that there is no space in the line-up for Fair City tonight.

Those two shows precede At Your Service while RTÉ News: Nine O'Clock and Weather will air in its regular slot at 9pm.

This is not the first time that there has been a "drop date" for the popular homegrown programme.

Back in March, Dancing with the Stars was screened at a later time meaning that Fair City didn't air.

An hour long instalment of the Six One News show meant that everything aired at different times on Sunday March, 17.

Fair City will return to its regular time slot on RTE One Tuesday April, 23 when Orla and Sash head for Prague and there is money troubles for Sharon.
