RTE's Ryan Tubridy shares brilliant throwback snaps with Late Late Show guests

Ryan Tubridy has shared brilliant throwback pictures with guests who appeared on the Late Late Show this week.

The RTE show's host seems to have met a lot of people who appear on his show way back when, as both Dublin rapper Malaki and the lead singer of the band Pillow Queens popped up on the star's Instagram before last night's airing.

Pillow Queens' Sarah Corcoran tweeted first, saying: "19 year old Sarah would be pinching herself ngl."

Sharing a shot of the post, Ryan said: "Little did I know I was brushing shoulders with future rock royalty."

Then, after Malaki also shared his own snap of a younger self with the RTE man, captioned "It was destined from the start," Ryan added: "Brilliant! I also rubbed shoulders with another guest tonight, the supremely talented Malaki, when he was a lad!"

Last night's show was packed with guests as Ryan also welcomed champion jockey Rachael Blackmore to the Late Late Show couch.

In an enthralling chat, the Tipperary sportswoman spoke eloquently about her victory in one of the toughest races in sport, the Grand National, and so much more.

Viewers loved how humble and gracious Blackmore was during her interview.

"A brilliant champion and so down to earth," "Rachael Blackmore very impressive on the #LateLateShow," and "Rachael Blackmore is a wonderful interviewee and a great ambassador for her sport and our country #LateLateShow," were just some of the comments made.

Aside from her magnificent talent and skill as a jockey, viewers were also enamoured with Blackmore's humble and kind demeanour.

"What a nice humble person she is and a paragon of excellence #LateLateShow," "What an ambassador for the sport and so humble. Absolute legend! #LateLateShow #RachelBlackmore," and "Rachael Blackmore comes across as a down to earth sound normal person there’s no heirs or graces with her at all #latelate #LateLateShow," some commenters added.

Meanwhile, on the show Ryan announced that donations from viewers last night had reached €1.1 million, meaning that throughout 2020 and into 2021 The Late Late Show has raised €20 million for Irish charities.

Viewers raised funds for:

Toy Show Appeal
