RTE star Ryan Tubridy has admitted that he was delighted to see Dublin City 'buzzing' after not being there for ages.
Tubs was at St Patrick's Cathedral for a quick tour on Wednesday ahead of it reopening for tourists today.
The Dubliner was spotted by a Radio One listener who was happy to meet the Late Late Show host in person.
The listener Ronan sent a message into Ryan's show this morning and said: "As I was out yesterday (Wednesday) enjoying the city passing St Patrick's Cathedral, I saw a group in high visibility jackets and I think that guy looks very like yourself (Ryan Tubridy).
"You spotted my 'is it him' look as we both waved and said hello.
"It was great to see you in person, I'm used to listening to you here.
"Pre-Covid while working in tourism, I did a similar tour of the Cathedral's roof which was an intriguing experience."

Ryan was happy to meet the listener and glad that people are back out and about.
He said: "I always say I love to say hello to people, it was delightful to say hello to you, I met lots of people yesterday.
"Town was hopping, I haven't been in town properly for ages and ages.
"It was really buzzing and great to see people out and about."

Ryan spoke on his Instagram stories about his visit, adding: "I'm in the glorious St Patrick's Cathedral.
"I've been invited in for a quick tour, if you love your history and want to see a bit of Dublin at it's most gorgeous, you gotta come here."
He also went up on the roof to see the renovation work that is being done and for a view of Dublin City.

It comes as Tubridy spoke of his belief that it will be a "different ballgame" for the Late Late Show in September.
The 47-year-old will officially do the last episode of the season on Friday, May 28.
Tubs and his team will be taking their annual break for the three months of the summer before returning to screens once again in September.
