RTE's Late Late Show: Viewers react after Ryan Tubridy interviews a group of naked cyclists

The Late Late Show broke new ground as a group of naked cyclists were interviewed on tonight's show, and it provoked a big reaction on social media.

Ryan Tubridy chatted to 16 men and women who plan to take part in the World Naked Bike Ride in Cork on June 8.

They left little to the imagination as they stood on stage in nothing but body paint, nipple tassels and the odd pair of undies, RSVP Live reports.

Viewers at home were stunned and took to Twitter to joke about how things have changed since the show started in the 1960s.

Ryan Tubridy reveals he has no plans to quit Late Late Show yet

One wrote: "Jayzus I think the Late Late Show wasn’t even on a on Good Friday in the black n white days (replaced with a nice holy film about an apparition or some such). Now they’re naked on bikes. Brilliant."

Another joked: "Imagine all the poor aul' wans after spending the whole day praying and they turn on the telly tonight to see a bunch of cyclists in the nip."

"I don't mean to alarm anyone but there are naked breasts on the late Late Show on RTE and I think that that might be the first sign of the apocalypse," said a third.

The World Naked Bike Ride is an annual, worldwide event that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists on the roads, with full or partial nudity encouraged and participants urged to “bare as you dare".
