RTE Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas has shared her favourite 'staycation' holiday spots in Ireland on her Instagram.
The presenter had received a lot of DMs asking about Irish holiday spots and decided she'd post some pictures of her family in their favourite spots.
The presenter's Instagram always has beautiful pictures of the places she visits, so naturally people went straight to her for her recommendations.
On her Instagram story she said: "I've been going through dm's and there are so many people that are looking for suggestions about where to go and bring the kids, where to holiday in August and September, places in Ireland.
"So I'm going to just blast off a load of places that I've been that I love and that I recommend and hopefully it can give you some incentive to do research if something floats your boat."
Captioning a photo of her and husband Padraig in Donegal, Kathryn said: "These Donegal cliffs are spectacular, three times higher than the Cliffs of Moher.
She also shared a picture in Mayo, describing the North Mayo coastline as quiet and "breathtaking".
She recommended Abbyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden Co Galway as the 'warmest welcome and the greatest craic'.
And she praised Lusty Beg Island, Enniskillen for their self-catering lodges, Lilliput Adventure Centre in Lough Ennell, Mullingar for a fun trip for children of all ages and Gleninghaquin Park in Kerry, which the presenter dubbed 'a hidden gem'.
