Doireann Garrihy admitted the past few weeks have ‘shattered’ her following the shock exit of Eoghan McDermott on 2fm and suffering an injury whilst filming.
The RTE presenter has put in a hard slog over the past few weeks, having to steer the ship on her breakfast show alone since McDermott’s hasty departure, and filming a TV show.
But she hit another hurdle just weeks later, when she was hospitalised after injuring her knee whilst filming the new series of her RTE hit, The Doireann Project.
Making it to the finish line, she said: “Last day of filming tomorrow.
“I won’t lie, the past few weeks have shattered me, but I'm going to miss filming so much.”
The funny woman also told how her working with her comedy show crew has helped her through the tough time.
“Being around people and laughing hard every day has been the best possible therapy a gal in lockdown could need.
“The most amazing team.”

She added: “So happy the knee situation worked out ok and I could get back filming, would have broken my heart to put everything on pause!
“Cannot wait for you to see it.. I think it’s the best series yet by a country mile!”
Doireann went on to share a picture of a drink, made for her by a member of crew, saying: “Sound man Steve. Made me a concoction because I'm not minding myself.”
It comes after the radio star, who presents 2fm Breakfast on weekdays, thanked fans for their support after a “manic” time of presenting alone after it was announced Eoghan McDermott would not be returning to the airwaves.
Doireann, who has also been recording her podcast, Laughs of Your Life, said: "I know I've been very quiet in terms of talking about things on Instagram but things have just been absolutely manic between radio, filming this and the Laughs of your life season five if you're a podcast listener.
"I see all your messages coming in and I just want to say thank you for reaching out and saying you miss me and having the chats.
"I've got lovely messages from people."
