Caitriona Perry has announced her pregnancy on Instagram after viewers spotted her growing baby bump on the RTE News this week.

“Well spotted! I am indeed expecting some more news of my own later this year.”

Maia Dunphy said: “Oh that’s wonderful news!! ,” and Nuala Carey commented: “Congratulations Caitriona Wonderful news.”

The 41-year-old welcomed her first child, a baby girl back in 2019.

She has presented the Six One since January 2018, before that she was the Washington Correspondent for RTE News.

Caitriona prefers to keep quiet about her personal life and has never publicly shared her husband's name.

She previously told Irish Country Magazine: “My husband doesn’t work in the media and doesn’t want people to know his name and that’s fair enough.

“Now that I have a daughter, it will be up to her to decide when she’s older whether she wants her name in the public or not.

“I feel like so much of our lives are shared now through social media that you have to keep something back for yourself.

“I think your work is your work and your home life is your home life and you should be able to separate them.”
