RTE Prime Time viewers were all saying the same thing after host Miriam O'Callaghan probed a member of NPHET over future lockdown restrictions.
HSE acute hospitals national director Liam Woods joined the show to share the latest update on Covid-19 and the impact it is having on the healthcare system.
And Miriam began by raising Dr Tony Holohan's claim that he didn't envisage restrictions returning even if we see 800-1000 cases in hospital and 150-200 people in ICU next month.
Dr Woods explained: "Numbers at the higher end of the scale would be very concerning in the hospital system and from our point of view we need to behave collectively socially to try and avoid that.
"Vaccination has been a huge assistance in that.
"I think [making the numbers turn] is about vaccination, and it is about managing social contact and effective public health methods such as mask wearing and hand washing."
But Miriam went back to the point once again, asking the NPHET member if restrictions would be reimposed if we do see that level of infection next month.
Dr Woods responded: "I think NPHET and the government are observing the data predicting where we're heading, and I think that will remain a key focus for November and we'll have to make the decisions as we see the data emerge.
"Of course we would hope that the community incidence would stabilise and eventually decline as we move through November."
However, viewers were not impressed with the interview branded "meaningless" without any firm answers.
One wrote: "Sorry Miriam did not ask Dr Woods if he has full confidence in NIAC. I would have been interested if he gave that Q a simple yes."
While another added: "Meaningless interview! From a double vaccinated frontline worker how can u ask a question, get an answer to another questions and just move on to another question… etc …. Etc"
